Yuki's life has been bettered through the forging of new friendships, and much of this she attributes to the help she has received from other people. But can she improve the life of another person? More than that, could she improve the life of a person as terrible as Watari Suzumei? A powerful noble with dangerous schemes, the two are initially at odds with one another due to their differences. As they begin to learn about each other's goals and pasts they discover that the two of them are more alike than initially believed. By the end Yuki believes that they have forged a close friendship and accepted each other's differences. She believes that she has helped Watari to become a better person, that together they might change the Seireitei for the better, and that she has even helped him with kicking an addiction to smoking! In return not only has Yuki gained a friend but she has proven to herself that she can make her own positive changes to the lives of other people.


Noble Meet-Up // It has been decades since Yuki last attended a proper social gathering, let alone one put on by nobles for nobility. She arrives with a gift in hand expecting a night of bridge building only to find herself in the middle of a coup orchestrated by one Watari Suzumei. While she agrees with the need for change she disagrees with the man's methods. After going back on his word Yuki strikes at the man, only to be swiftly defeated as he manages to release his shikai against her.

Alice In Watariland // Following her defeat at the hands of Watari she finds herself awakening within the man's estate. She learns more about the Suzumei family and about Watari. By the end of their discussions the two have bonded and Yuki realizes that while Watari isn't a great person now he does have the potential to become one. She believes that she can help him with this and pledges to do so, although she also pledges to end his life if he becomes a monster.

Enter The Dragon II // Venturing to Earth Yuki assists Watari in combat training for Meili. During the combat portion of their training she directs Watari to take the lead in fighting Meili, who desired a more hands on approach. While this is because she is wary of trusting her own ability to remain in control during an all out brawl this does unfortunately have some unforseen consequences. Instead of seeing the trust placed within him by Yuki the man instead believes that she has nefarious purposes for pitting the two Shinigami against each other.

No Smoking Allowed! // During a visit to Yuki's estate Watari is forced to leave his cigarettes at the door. Together the two discuss their pasts, share tales of the scars they each carry, and learn a little more about one another. Yuki helps Watari with his addiction to smoking and the two discuss their friendship. By the night's end they have grown closer to one another and Yuki believes that she is actually making positive changes in the man's life through their newly forged friendship!

The crescendo arc where it all gets real maybe!
