I D E N T I F I C A T I O N

Name: Despaira
Apparent Age: 19
Actual Age: unknown, at least 700 years

Eye Color: Despaira has unique eyes that are yellow and black, resembling a crude hazard symbol. The sclera of her eyes are black while her irises are yellow and complex in shape.
Height: 6 feet and 4 inches
Weight: 207 pounds
Hair Color and Style: She has pure white hair, very dull in color, worn tied in a low ponytail that hangs to her hips.
Clothing and Accessories: She wears black robes that could be mistaken for a Shinigami's by someone at first glance. However, closer inspection shows that her clothes are lacking the white shitagi and the obi, and her tabi and waraji are replaced by well worn, knee-high boots. Lastly, her clothing seems to be made of a synthetic material.
Despaira also carries with her a Flammenschwert, a wave-blade two-handed longsword. This uncommon sword also differentiates her from a Shinigami.
Finally, Despaira may don a full mask resembling a plague-doctor's iconic beaked masks, but white in appearance.

Generalized Appearance: The tall woman has passing resemblance to a Shinigami based on her clothing and choice of weapon, but this fails on closer inspection. She looks distinctly European in appearance, though her dull white hair and clothes obscure this somewhat. She has sunken cheeks and an ashen complexion. Her most striking feature is her Heterochromatic eyes, which have inverted cross shaped pupils and two sets of eyelids, the inner lid being see-through and verticle.
Spiritual Pressure Analysis: Despaira's Spiritual Pressure is miasmic in appearance, resembling a crawling purple mist. It feels sticky and cold, as if it absorbs heat. When actively roused, the purple mist will occasionally bubble at the surface, releasing a putrid, sickly sweet scent when the bubbles pop.

Overall Personality: Despaira at first appears to be a somewhat clumsy but friendly "Shinigami" roaming the outer Rukongai. She is kind, offering food and medicine as she travels, never staying in one area for more than a few days.

However, this facade quickly crumbles when she is outed as an imposter. Her light and cheery tone turns dark and deep, her voice dropping several octaves. She straightens her posture and drops her facial expressions, becoming expressionless even when injured or raising her voice. This true personality is cruel, vocally expressing joy at the pain and suffering of others. However, even this joy is only caused by mild amusement from sating her curiousity.

Positive Traits: While under the guise of a rogue Shinigami, Despaira is friendly and hospitable. She provides food, medical treatment and aid to those who she meets. Despaira
Negative Traits: The above only applies while Despaira is impersonating a Shinigami. When outted as a fake, she drops all her redeeming qualities and reveals herself to be a psychopath, possessing an acute antisocial personality disorder.

Loyalties: Despaira possesses loyalty to nobody but herself.

Goals: To destabilize Soul Society through the spreading of fear, disease and violence.

Habits: Despaira has a deep fear of religious knights.

Overarching History
In the village of Green Waters, an unusual child was born. The daughter of the blacksmith's wife, the child was considered an omen by the local church for her unusual black and yellow eyes. The church, whose rule was absolute at the time, decried the wife of sleeping with evil.
The blacksmith and his wife hid their only child, claiming she died to appease the church. However, all secrets one day come to light.
The girl was raised in secret by her parents, but as she grew a sickness spread through the village. It started with failing harvests, and soon the children and elderly fell sick. The church claimed it the work of evil forces, and search tirelessly for these demons. One member overheard talk of the blacksmith's daughter, and together with the church's knights stormed the man's house in search of wrongdoing.
There, they found the girl with unusual eyes and laid the blame of the illness on the girl, and by extension her family for protecting her.
The knights burned their home to the ground, and executed the family by fire.

But the girl's story does not end there. The toddler, unaware of her own death, would wait day after day for the parents she lost. One day, however, a stranger guided the girl to the next world, Soul Society.

Here the girl grew, in a strange city surrounded by strangers and even stranger beasts. But in this city, the child grew to a girl, and then into a young woman with her new friends and found family. For several hundred years, the woman was quite happy.

That is, until her chance encounter with a visitor to her city. The visitor wore black robes, and carried a sword at their side. The young woman was running through the streets, playing with the local children. She had heard that a visitor from the east would be seeing the local lords but she had assumed they would take the more direct main roads.
As such, she was equally startled when she nearly ran into the black-clad man. However, before she could smack into him, the main said something in a foreign language. A strange force bound her arms behind her back painfully and she fell to her knees on the spot.
Sharp pain raced through her shoulders and legs as her body came to a sudden stop and forcibly repositioned. It felt like the strange force was choking the life from the woman.
The foreign man berated her in his strange language, and the binding didn't leave until he was far from her sight.
Unknown to her, the warmth that flooded her body was not the pain of her joints being released that night. No, it was her own stagnant spiritual energy beginning to flow, kickstarted by the Shinigami's magics.
As she dreamed that night, still wearing the doctor mask from that morning's game, the woman was plagued by nightmares. Disease and violence consumed her friends and neighbors like a raging fire, and their screams of agony haunted her thoughts the next morning as she awoke crying.
The woman was terrified to find that she couldn't remove her mask, which had fused with her skin. She thought it a curse left by the foreign man. A strange punishment for offending him. Even with the aid of her friends and the local children, all pulling at the mask did was cause the woman to scream in pain.
But the worst was yet to come. One by one her friends fell sick, and then became cursed with madness. Just like in her dreams, the woman watched the city she loved erupt in blood and flames as its citizens tore each other apart and were consumed by the strange illness.

Only the woman was spared, and she cursed the man who did this to her. It wasn't until she realized she could taste the blood and ash in the air that she realized her mask had fallen away. Desperately, she searched for the accursed item. The man had to pay. She wanted him to know it was her when she found him. Such a distinctive mask would be perfect. So she headed east.

It took a very long time for her to reach the east, traversing mountains and forests. For the first time she could remember, she needed to eat. She grew hungry and tired more easily since heading east.
And here, in this strange land called Rukongai West 80, she learned of the Shinigami. How they neglected the people. How the calamity one man caused was considered the norm for them. That the lords could do as they pleased with no repercussion. But, the woman called Despaira would change that.
Not for any glorious reasons like avenging her fallen friends or purifying a corrupt nobility. No.
One Shinigami wronged Despaira. So she would make the entire Seireitei fall to sickness and violence, just like her city had. She was simply getting even.

Virulent Violence

Object of Affinity: Her mask
Fullbring Appearance: After activating her mask, the mask fuses to her skin and animates, allowing her to make expressions with the mask. Further, her body rapidly decays, rotting and turning black i places as others start to fester with bursting pustules, oozing pus. A purple miasma of Spiritual Energy trails the movements of her limbs, which emanates a sickly sweet scent of rot.
Despite fusing to her skin, she can rotate the mask similar to a Vizard, revealing a worm-ridden face underneath. Lastly, her pupils and irises turn into biohazard symbols.

Fullbring Ability: Virulent Violence is a biohazard based ability. Despaira can infect others with a virus through contact with her spirutual energy or via various Vectors, which are generated by the ability. The virus can spread to others from victims in a similar manner, carried by their reiatsu.
The primary virus causes the infected to lose their sense of pain and to enter a berserker state, lashing out at friends and foes alike. As a side effect, their combat power is boosted slightly and due to losing their sense of pain, the infected can fight through grevious wounds. As Despaira grows more powerful, she'll learn to incorporate other viruses and diseases into her Ability.
The Vectors created by Despaira's Fullbring are semi-corporeal phantasms of spiritual energy that function as a remote host of the virus. The vectors typically have no combat potential and resemble common carriers of disease, in addition to only being able to travel a short distance from Despaira. As Despaira grows stronger, she'll become capable of creating more complex Vectors capable of moving further from her. At their most basic, the Vectors dissipate if taken more than half a mile from the source.

Looks good, on your power I'd encourage you to try to explore scaling up to mass destruction. I'd be worried you're positioned a little late in her revenge story to really get to that point but overall I dig the concept! Good work.
