Everything Yuki has done to improve not only her life but the lives of others is placed at risk when a new threat appears: Quincy. Initially she knows nothing about the Quincy. After facing one in battle she learns first hand the risk they pose to everyone and everything she cherishes. But to protect it all Yuki comes to an understanding that she must avoid fighting, and so she seeks to avert this war through peace talks and an exchange of information.


Lavender, Rose, Sage // While out on a hunt Yuki encounters another spiritually aware Human named Geminae de Loure, although unbeknownst to her this Human is in fact a Quincy. The two fight together against a powerful Hollow and Yuki is saved by the woman's actions, however she is surprised when no soul passes on from the Hollow's destruction. This leaves Yuki confused and a little worried, but she chalks this up to her having missed the soul's passing on.

Feeding The Flame // Three successful hunts in one day. It all started out so well, however when Yuki reaches her next target she discovers another Quincy. Again a Hollow is slain in front of her and again she feels the dread of a lost soul. As she approaches the woman to question her the Quincy attacks! This mutual misunderstanding drives the two into an intense battle which ultimately ends in a draw.

Warnings Of What Is To Come // Following her battle with the unknown Quincy woman Yuki visits her friend Zenji at the hospital, hoping to learn more about the strange Humans. Not only does she learn about their history and the dangers they pose but she also learns that Zenji supports wiping them out. Yuki, wishing to avoid a war, proposes speaking with them, perhaps even working with them to protect the Humans. This leads to her being placed unconscious by Zenji and a portion of her recent memories being erased. She departs after a scolding, feeling guilty and prepared to study while resting in preparation for her coming attempts at a peace talk.

Swinging For The Fences // Fully rested up and prepared to deliver important information to the Quincy, Yuki ventures to Karakura Town in search of someone who might answer her questions. In the ruins of Karakura Town's baseball field she finds a Quincy named Kevin DuBrow, the same man who spared her life before. A brief exchange of questions and information follows, during which time Yuki comes to the conclusion that not only could their people be at peace with one another, but that perhaps they really could work together, and perhaps those within Soul Society did not have all the answers when it came to how the cycle actually worked. Kevin offers to set Yuki up with a meeting so that she might convince other Quincy of her good intentions, but in order to prove her ability to make good on her promise to bring change to the Seireitei he requests a battle to test her capabilities. Reluctant to spill blood Yuki accepts the challenge. What follows is a battle against a Quincy not out of malice but instead in the name of bringing peace between their people.
