The Gillian Flock; When the Mountain Calls
The Physical =========================
- A Crow:

From the madness of rapid evolution, a towering monster rises. A stark white mask sets them apart from the other monsters around them. It’s curved like a beak, a sharp and deadly reflection of the Flock that holds dominance within. The rest of their body is covered head to toe in a slick black skin that is reminiscent of a cloak with a row of thin white spikes around their neck and a massive hole through their gut. Flying around their unique mask are birds, crows to be exact, that are remnants of the dominant consciousness’ previous form. The birds come and go as the Flock pleases. Untrained, their reiatsu pours off of them like a crashing waterfall. It’s the stinging, sour taste of metal, and the acrid smell of rotted meat. Wisps of the energy trail off of the wandering crows, always leading back to their gillian prison.
The Mental =========================
The Flock woke to the world in the heat of evolution. Before, there was eating and eating and only eating, their mind wouldn’t wander from that singular thought. The security of the World of the Living brought them space for their mind to wander. As it observed and learned, its consciousness grew and so did a budding personality. In the depths of the gillian, they fightt to command the towering monster that formed from the excesses of their time in the World of the Living.
They’re inquisitive about the world around them and how it works, but they tend to indulge the capricious thoughts that spring into their wandering mind, believing them to be the truth to the questions that they seek. Failure after failure also forged the Flock into a tenacious beast that sees the world as a mystery to solve or a mountain to climb. They push themselves to survive and continue growing, but their rapid evolution has made them cautious to what they are and what might be in store for them.

Chapter 1:Audience with a Crow // The oversaturated city of Karakura provides enough food for a Crow’s consciousness to form. They are perched along the path of a shinigami when a Crow steps out from the Flock to observe and learn. The bird’s fragile ego is shattered when emotions overwhelm them and they are quickly dispatched by the shinigami.
Chapter 2: Dead Ball in Karakura // The consciousness continues to evolve as a Crow finds themselves tantalized by the unique tastes of a soul. Not as otherworldly as a shinigami, but still strange and new. They approach and the bird is able to use phrases they’ve heard to converse with the quincy before hunger overtakes their rational mind and the animal within attacks. The quincy, using an unorthodox method, dispatches the bird with a single throw.
Chapter 3: 木枯らし // Kogarashi // The consciousness within grows more and more sophisticated with each death. They have yet to confront the growing hunger and seemingly black spots in their memory, but another encounter with a shinigami forces everything forward. The consciousness embraces the hunger within to stay cogent, but the hunger corrupts them. It’s only in the moments before death that the mind inside a Crow realizes they aren’t just a single bird, but the entire Flock.

Chapter 4: Backstreets Back // With the Flock under the control of the consciousness and a sparkling and tantalizing taste pulling them deeper into the city, they decide to take a detour in an attempt to feast on an unfortunate quincy in their path. This proves more difficult for the amalgamation of birds as they’re only just learning of their newfound abilities and the extent of their power. Even as they’re about to kill their prey, another quincy shows up to stop the Flock from getting anything more than a light snack from both mortal souls.
Chapter 5: A Helping Hand [Closed] // Still on the path to the sparkling taste, the Flock’s taken aback when they become the target of a righteous shinigami. The fight forces the Flock to draw from birds across the city to regroup and overwhelm the shinigami, but a strange human forces their way between the two combatants. The wisdom of the consciousness continues to flourish, though, and the Flock flees after springing a trap set by the two singular souls.
Chapter 6: The Murder Trial [Private] // The Flock arrives to the park where the sparkling taste originated to find a familiar face waiting for them. The consciousness is barely able to hold themselves together as the shinigami wears the last pieces of the Flock down. In a desperate attempt to stay cogent, the consciousness draws from the complexity within their hunger. This unleashes the building energy in an explosive display of rapid evolution and the hollow begins to transform into a gillian.

The Spiritual =========================
Rebaño de Mente Única // Flock of One Mind
The Flock, like all hollow, is made up of the multitude of souls that they’ve consumed over their cursed second life. Unlike other hollow, the Flock evolved to spread these souls across multiple bodies. Each one is a piece of the whole, like parts of a body. Given enough souls and enough time, a spark of intelligence formed and grew into a single mind powerful enough to control the Flock. The power of their mind not only lends them the strength to become the Flock, but also allows them to reach out to other hollow and speak with them telepathically. Threads of spiritual energy connect the Flock’s birds, threads only as strong as the Flock’s Affinity Skill. Like a body stretching, they can spread only so far before reaching their limits, but as they consume more souls the Flock grows bigger and bigger.
Passive // The Flock is a hive mind, a single mind controlling an entire flock of crows.
Active // The Flock can speak telepathically to any hollow in sight of a crow.
