A Crow Story; Experience Request // Arc II: Into the Maw of Madness

LAST TIME ON // Arc I: One Among the Flock
For Context: Something from the Otherside... [Should not be included in exp calculations] // Posts made up to and including this Flock post could be referenced to understand the context of what’s going on within the Arc Event up till the end.
Chapter 4: Backstreets Back // With the Flock under the control of the consciousness and a sparkling and tantalizing taste pulling them deeper into the city, they decide to take a detour in an attempt to feast on an unfortunate quincy in their path. This proves more difficult for the amalgamation of birds as they’re only just learning of their newfound abilities and the extent of their power. Even as they’re about to kill their prey, another quincy shows up to stop the Flock from getting anything more than a light snack from both mortal souls.
Chapter 5: A Helping Hand [Closed] // Still on the path to the sparkling taste, the Flock’s taken aback when they become the target of a righteous shinigami. The fight forces the Flock to draw from birds across the city to regroup and overwhelm the shinigami, but a strange human forces their way between the two combatants. The wisdom of the consciousness continues to flourish, though, and the Flock flees after springing a trap set by the two singular souls.
Chapter 6: The Murder Trial [Private] // The Flock arrives to the park where the sparkling taste originated to find a familiar face waiting for them. The consciousness is barely able to hold themselves together as the shinigami wears the last pieces of the Flock down. In a desperate attempt to stay cogent, the consciousness draws from the complexity within their hunger. This unleashes the building energy in an explosive display of rapid evolution and the hollow begins to transform into a gillian.
The Story =========================
Drawn away from their first real battle by the cracking of hollow bait, the Flock isn’t allowed much time to explore the new bounds of their rapid evolution before their ever-present enemy, hunger, grows greedy once again. As the city falls apart, the Flock tries to make their way to the epicenter of the chaos before losing themselves to their internal beast. Over and over, the Flock tries to satiate the maw of madness with quincy and then shinigami and even human to no avail. As they do, they’re forced to learn more about themselves and a growing complexity deep within them.
The itch at the back of their mind turns out to be a step in a new direction. Even as they believe themselves to be growing beyond it, the consciousness is still instinctually driven to satiate themselves and grow. As they fight, they run into combatants too powerful for them and too smart for them. They learn that they might not be the only predator or even the top dog within the city they call a hunting ground. By the end of the arc, they draw on an internal power that triggers a cascade of souls. They become a gillian. Though the consequences of their unsustainable evolution are yet to be seen.
[P.S. public. feedback is nice, but not necessary]

hello, yes, this is birb 2.
better intro blurbs come from better-spaced requests.
We begin at five stars and add or remove based on notable additions or glaring omissions.
+0 - Writing - Solid writing. Like I said, however, need to surprise me to get +1 twice as the birb. This is not a point I intend to give out easily but the Flock is still a great and well-written character.
+0 - Story - Same aspect of disconnect as before, thematically tied together through the aspect of growth but nothing here really connects. The call back to Shimazu's fight is a close one though.
+1 - Growth - Ey, the hits keep coming. From individual to hive mind to single embodied collective. It changes a lot, evolves significantly. Solid work here please keep growin'. Further points here come as you continue to push your concept forward something you've shown no trouble doing.
+0 - Impact - As before nothing earthshattering but you work with your thread partners before.
Congrats! This is a solid 6 STAR request! Go ahead and link this post to your profile and redeem for
3 Threads x 6 Star Rating = 360 EXP!
