Clothing and Accessories: Homura wears the typical Shihakusho without any customization applied to it. Homura wears a hair tie to keep her favored hair style prudent, her ponytail. She avoids most other accessories or make up, however whenever she wishes to ‘look’ smarter she may put on a pair of glasses she keeps on her person. Homura wears her Zanpaktou on her left hip.

Generalized Appearance: Coming across as a tomboy at a glance, Homura’s appearance is nothing too special. The girls most notable features being her above average height, her unique hairstyle, and her trademark grin. Beyond that, she’s nothing special especially since her typical outfit is that of the standard Shinigami Shihakusho which is far from flattering.

Spiritual Pressure Analysis: Passionately warm, as if one is experiencing the very fires of her determination. When Homura is in battle or distressed its comparable to being in the middle of a conflagration.

Overall Personality: Outgoing and warm, Homura tries to make everyone feel welcome, so long as she is the center of attention. Never one to take back seat during any event, Homura is an earnest soul. To Homura life is precious and needs to be spent well, though she doesn’t always practice such advice. The girl parties frequently, and allows her physical training to slip because of it, but such training is not a priority in her life. Instead she focuses on the mental, improving her problem-solving skills by testing herself with what she views as progressively greater obstacles. Surprisingly, a bookworm, Homura values cleverness and knowledge, along with relationships and intelligence.

What the girl truly lacks is wisdom. While she values relationships with others, it’s more for their validation of the actions she performs. Thusly Homura only values a person as far as they are wilHomurag to go praise her, an aspect which holds her back from achieving any true friendships. Still, despite this flaw in her charisma Homura can function at a professional level where she uses her smarts to cleverly answer conundrums and perform her duties admirably. Thankfully, she’s a happy drunk, which is probably the only reason she’s invited to such gatherings, for the girl turns less arrogant the less sober she is.

During combat the arrogance of the girl comes not from confidence but fear. Deeply troubled by the sight of a battle due to her past, she struggles to keep up with others in the field without an overwhelming advantage. Though she had heard faint whispers in her mind from something, it is drowned out by the screams of those she let down within Rukongai. Homura’s mind during many battles consistently races to flee from situations that appear even or dire. Though she won’t admit it, she feels jealousy for those who don’t have the same fear she does, and because she won’t admit it she has yet to work on conquering such a crippHomurag weakness for any shnigami.

Snapshots
“Grew up” in the 66th district of West Rukongai.
Was invited to join one of the various gangs within the district but forcefully refused.
Eventually was forced to flee or face retribution for her forceful refusal.
Ended up getting a rag tag group together to try and start a revolution.
Revolution failed, her group supposedly all perished, she barely escaped.
With nowhere else to go, she enlisted within the Shinigami academy.
Was accepted, and after six years graduated from the academy.
Was assigned to the 6th division as an unseated officer.

Overarching History
Dead in the world of the living by means unknown to her, Homura was sent to the soul society free of guilt but not of burdens. Homura ended up within the 66th district of West Rukongai, a place surprisingly devoid of open violence, and instead filled with deplorable greed. Manipulation was the currency of corruption in 66th district, and Homura held a disdain for dishonesty. Quickly she grew a hatred for those who controlled others with fear and coercion, though she didn’t take action. Her newness to the world she found herself within held her back, and her lack of knowledge on who commanded whom kept her from truly acting as she desired. This would persist for a time, Homura trying to carve something out of the district for herself, but eventually those she despised came knocking and she had to answer.

A gang, minor players in the grand scheme of things desired her to pay tribute to them. When she refused and managed to fight them off, but eventually they came back. Forced to flee this time due to their numbers, Homura stayed on the run within the 66th district for quite a while before she knew, she had to fight back or face death again. So, she started to form plans and recruit a few people who were wronged by the group as well, and soon she had a rough, but capable force behind her. Subterfuge was her only method of battle, disrupting various outfits of the gangs in the district, and attempting to show the people they didn’t need to live under such oppression anymore. It worked for a time, and the glimmer of hope sparked in Homura’s eye as she felt the spark of rebellion kindHomurag, but alas it was not meant to be.

Despite all of her efforts, cunning, and intellect Homura was outplayed when her base of operations was discovered and burned to the ground. She barely escaped with her life; unlike many others she was with that night. Revenge was forefront in her mind, but she knew it was pointless, though she knew she couldn’t let others within the district continue with their schemes lest more places become corrupted in the afterlife. Knowing she had decent Reiatsu and with nowhere else to really turn, Homura applied for the soul reaper academy, and through sheer determination paired with a bit of luck she managed to get in. The academy went smoothly for the girl. She quickly excelled in the academic portions of the academy, though her own though brief past only helped weaken her resolve for direct conflict. As such, her combat performances were underwhelming, comparative to her academic, though she managed to at least show passing aptitudes. When it finally came time for her to test for graduation Homura passed well enough to enter the 6th division as an unseated officer. Surprised as she assumed, they’d assign her to the 4th division, Homura nevertheless excitedly began her career as a Shinigami.
