Generalized Appearance: Slender in build, Aine has a bit of a haunted look about her as though she has seen too much in the world. That is not to say she never displays amusement or joy, but there is that in her gray eyes that speaks to innocence lost. Her appearance is never slovenly, always attired in clean garments and meticulous in her hygiene, her short brown hair still manages to be a bit disheveled. Athletic in nature she is more than able to run down a photo opportunity lugging her camera bag along. As such she prefers to dress for comfort and moveability rather than to accentuate her feminie attributes. High heels? Don’t be ridiculous; sturdy boots with good tread is more sensible.
Spiritual Pressure Analysis: Pale blue in color, it spreads out in ripples from her form drawing close into her body when she feels threatened. A slight chill is ‘sensed’ by its touch. Clarity of thought during such times enhances her spiritual pressure as though with the crispness of the air after a cold rain.

Overall Personality: Aine is amicable enough, not shunning social gatherings and the like, though she prefers to observe from the fringes than be the center of attention. She possesses a keen eye for details which becomes all too obvious when viewing her photographic body of work. Placing high value on family and friendship, she has been known to get into fights for the cause of another.

Positive Traits:

Inquisitive - Investigative reporting is her passion, though her talents lie in photo-journalism rather than writing, and she has had a couple of articles published. She finds conspiracy theory amusing, but deep down she thinks it would be cool if the pyramids had really been built by aliens.
Loyal - She’s got your back. Doesn’t matter if you are in the right or the wrong, if you are on her list of friends and family she is in your corner for life. Woe be to the fool who brings one of them harm.
Professional - Great work ethic, completes tasks on time often going that extra mile, refusing to submit a story until all her sources have been thoroughly examined and cross checked. Despises sensationalism or propaganda.
Empathetic - This can also be negative if she is not vigilant in maintaining her professional mien. Too many horrible things occur in this world and it can be hard not to succumb to disillusionment and despair. Even so, it is not hard for her to put herself in another’s shoes, and respond with kindness and support.
Passionate - Full focus is given to whatever she is doing for it is her thought that a person shouldn’t bother if they are not going to give it their best. It is rewarding to Aine to help bridge the gap between people through her chosen art form saying that the best pictures are ones that require no captions.

Negative Traits:

Unrelenting - While a credit to her Quincy training, meeting a deadline, or keeping herself in shape, it has gotten her into the odd pickle and was even arrested during the Paris Protests.
Combative - A night of drinking is not that great an idea unless you’ve the desire to get into a fight. Instant asshole, just add alcohol.
Dismissive - Although she doesn't consider herself a social justice warrior, she has little use for those who do not share her views on humanity and justice. To her there are just some people who can’t be educated and she has no time to waste on neanderthals.
Unrepentant - Oh she might, and that is sketchy at best, realize she is wrong or has caused someone slight or injury but she’ll be damned if she ever apologizes.
Guarded - Very private in nature, she keeps her inner self protected. This has not led to romantic relationships that last too long. Being Quincy is something she will never share with a normal human and to her the mating for bloodlines thing is too archaic to be entertained by one as forward thinking as herself.

Overarching History
Aine was born as the fifth child to Claire and Kevin Hayes in County Cavan, Ireland in 1991. She was an inquisitive child delighting in listening to her elders tell stories of their family and of the land. Being Quincy was not something that was hidden from her, as her older siblings had already manifested their abilities and their heritage was openly encouraged. Given a strong sense of secrecy, duty, and standing up for those in need, she grew impatient for her powers to awaken so she could train alongside her 3 brothers and sister.

At the age of eight she finally began her training and threw herself into it with the desire of one who was impatient to be a real member of her family. A little late to manifest her quincy powers, she worked as though she had to catch up or die trying. This also included language studies for the fight against Hollow-kind would not be limited to just those English speaking regions where she lived but could take her anywhere in the world.

Academics would not be permitted to suffer in exchange for her Quincy training. A dual lifestyle was constantly reinforced and it would be imperative for her to have a career in the ‘real world’ as well as maintain her secrecy about the Quincy one. Even so, she was not permitted to go hunting until she was sixteen. Her over exuberance for hunting was her only instance where her parents and she butted heads. This was to such a degree that it was decided she would take an apprenticeship with the son of their liege house, Michael O’Donovan.

Aine could hardly look at that like a punishment, not only would she be training in the traditions of her people but on condition of her obedience to her Master’s authority she was permitted to attend University and pursue a degree in Photo-journalism. There was nothing like the threat of having her finances taken away to retrain her obstinate nature. More importantly, she and Michael were already on good terms. Having met when she was a child, as the families often visited each other, the two became fast friends. Artistry was a common ground for the two, though he was a professional musician and herself a photographer.

Over the years she developed a keen sense of loyalty for her liege family that was on par with that of her own. That was due in large part to the friendship that formed between her future mentor and herself for she was never treated as subservient save in gest. In 2011 she was even afforded the opportunity to accompany Michael and his finance Ishikawa Yua, herself an accomplished musician, as they went on tour. While they were in rehearsal for the performance at the conservatory, she worked on her portfolio for University and continued her studies online graduating in 2012.

While taking on freelance photography, she continued to train with her master and accompanied him and his finance on tour. The night of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra performance in 2013, local Quincy contacted them for aid and the trio responded to the call. An incursion of Hollow had penetrated the area and during the fighting she was separated from her Michael and Yua. Once the invasion had been repulsed, however, she learned of Yua’s death coming face to face with the high cost of their heritage for the first time. The toll on Michael was obvious to see, despite how he guarded his feelings.

Remaining in training for two more years, she was finally released from her apprenticeship. Fortunately she had begun to get more frequent assignments and had several photos picked up in sidication after her coverage of the Carrickmines Fires and Paris Riots. That was when she learned the value of having a bail bond fund for she got herself arrested, scooped up amid the protestors outside a kosher market, and wasn’t released until the next day when her sister came to bail her out. Regardless of having to stand on her own, she prefers free lance work to being on the payroll of a news outlet whose political bias she may or may not agree with.

Despite her firm belief in autonomy, she still frequented the O’Donovan Estate going out on hunts with her former master and his new apprentice. His cousin, Jessica, had recently become orphaned when her parents were killed in a Hollow attack. Aine readily took to the youth and soon enough included her in that social sphere reserved for family. This served her in good stead for in March of 2020 she got word from Jessica that Michael was about to go back to Karakura Town at the behest of the Ishikawa Family. The Hollow situation there seemed to be unusually active and there was no way she was going to stay behind while her master went into battle, especially so very far away from home.
