Hair Color and Style: Black, incredibly long, and just a little wild. Of course she does spend time brushing it, but it fights back! Her tail is pretty much the same in every respect.

Clothing and Accessories: She sticks with the typical shinigami uniform. The only differences are that she also has a solid black eyepatch over her left eye and that a small slit is cut into the back of her uniform to allow her tail freedom.

Generalized Appearance: An initial glance at Yuki reveals a girl short in stature with a slim, athletic build. She has some curves, certainly, but they really only exist between hip to rump. There exist a few scars, provided one is close enough to see them, as they are all old and very faint. Beyond the occasional faint bump of a scar her skin is soft, well-kept, perhaps just a little warmer than usual, and often smells faintly of strawberries due to her hobbies. And if one were to ignore everything else about her then one might conclude that she was fairly normal.

The accursed nature of her bloodline has bestowed upon her a few peculiarities. First, her eyes. Her right eye is purely red save for a black pupil. The left, should one glimpse beneath her eyepatch, is permanently closed, a deep scar cut horizontally against it. Her teeth are sharpened, especially her incisors, and her fingernails and toenails are both more akin to claws. A pair of black wolf-like ears sprout from atop her head, typically hidden within her hair when they aren't perked up. Finally, a very long black fluffy wolf tail extends from where a normal person's tailbone might be located, an appendage long and trained enough that it has become somewhat prehensile.

Despite her physical eccentricities Yuki does her best to retain an air of normality while she is around other shinigami. She brushes her hair to the best of her abilities, does the same for her tail, keeps her teeth a pearly white, properly maintains her clothes to the highest of standards, and tends to exude a calm, quiet though proud air. She even applies a faint, fresh, strawberry perfume to herself! But all of this is simply to keep face for the good of her dying clan. Although she does enjoy wearing yukatas and kimonos on her off time, especially those with a floral pattern. She even has a few matching eyepatches.

On the battlefield it is an entirely different story. Every ounce of pure, uninhibited, wild savagery is let loose upon her foes. She becomes a monster, fully embracing her otherwise subdued, bestial nature, although it is interlaced with decades of proper combat experience. In these moments she would more or less resemble a wild berserker, save for the well-kept uniform of course.

Spiritual Pressure Analysis: An untamable ferocious wind, much like a raging hurricane, pushing outwards as though to send nearby observers running. The center is filled with dread as its creator is left closer to its prey, prepared to devour it without a moment's hesitation. Its scent is that of blood, an iron-like smell.

Overall Personality: To reveal Yuki's true personality one must first peel away at the self she presents towards those who she usually keeps company with. This outer shell is quiet. Calm. One might even say reserved if it weren't for the slight air of confidence she exuded. She tends to keep to herself when she can, politely declining most invitations. In this state she does her best to remain kind and on a few occasions she might even crack a smile. However digging deeper reveals an entirely different person.

Yuki is distrustful of others and does her best to drive people away. She holds a complicated relationship with hollows and a deep-seated hatred towards other noble houses. Another complicated love-hate relationship she holds is towards herself. She is proud of her clan, of her parents especially, and she is proud of what she is. She tries her very best to embrace it. She does however occasionally hate what she is because it tends to drive away other people, especially when her darker, bestial self emerges. The little wolf would love nothing more than to get close to others, to have friends, to have people she could count on, but every single time something happens which ruins this.

Beyond this layer one reaches her core, her accursed nature. Within her lies a ravenous, gluttonous, wrathful beast. It wants nothing more than to hunt, to kill, and to devour. To grow. She lets it loose upon her foes in battle, at least the foes she intends upon slaying. Even so, occasionally this is difficult for her, and during these times it might slip free regardless.

There are a few things that she does enjoy. Taking hot baths. Eating delicious foods, especially strawberries, perhaps her favorite food. She enjoys hunting, even enjoys killing to a certain extent, although she is often disgusted with herself afterwards. Fighting in general can be fun, and if nothing else it at least helps her to get better. Deep down she also enjoys the company of other people.

Positive Traits:
Confident: Yuki knows of her own strengths, and knows how to overcome many of her weaknesses. She is more or less confident that she can prevail in any situation given enough time, and should she fail it will, ultimately, either kill her or make her stronger. As such there really is no reason to worry.

Fearless: While nobody is completely devoid of fear Yuki is able to completely subdue her own fears. A lifetime of battle and facing her fears has allowed her to grow to the point that, in anyone else's eyes, she has shed all fear. She doesn't allow it to take hold of her, especially during combat situations, especially so when she loses control.

Flexible: Not only is Yuki physically very flexible but, more importantly to this topic, she is quite adept at adapting to changing situations. Years of hiding her true self have given her the ability to switch back and forth on a dime when need be, to let loose her inner hound of war in a time of need. She is a quick learner, especially in combat, and utilizes every advantage possible to win a fight.

Honorable: Yuki is actually pretty honorable. If she gives someone her word on something then they can be certain that she will do her absolute best to keep it. She also believes in fighting for the weak against those who are stronger, especially against bullies. Somewhere deep down within she does want to help people. It's simply difficult for her to overcome her faults.

Loyal: If one were to gain her trust then one would have themselves an incredibly loyal companion. It takes a lot to get onto her good side, to earn her trust. She has no problems putting her own life on the line to protect those she has sworn loyalty towards. Even so, earning that loyalty is its own challenge.

Observant: Yuki is quite observant of her surroundings, having dealt with a lifetime of bullies, enemies, and foes on the battlefield. Too many times has she been tricked by people with cruel intentions. She can generally pick out a lie or an ambush with ease, and likes to keep a very close eye on other people, which often reveals little secrets and tells. It certainly helps as well to have the sort of ears and nose that she does!

Polite: Yuki does her very best to be polite towards people, even her foes, provided of course she hasn't lost control over herself. Partly this is because she wants to save face for her family's name, and partly this is her attempt at making friends. It also helps to keep situations calmer, which in turn helps her to keep her other nature in check.

Unyielding: Yuki's willpower is incredible and she is quite resolute when she sets herself towards a goal. Unless it is proven to her that something is impossible, or she is otherwise completely incapacitated, she will push herself to the best of her abilities to achieve whatever she is committed to.

Negative Traits:
Cold: Outwardly if one were to glimpse beneath the facade she generally shields herself with then one might notice that she is a little cold. It really isn't something she enjoys, and it is something she has tried to work on, but she just can't help it. An unkind past has left her an unkind person. She tends to push people away even as she desires the opposite.

Guilty: Yuki is, deep down, ridden with a lot of guilt. Guilt over people she has pushed away. Guilt over people she has accidentally hurt. And most importantly guilt over the death of her father. When she goes into a feral state she is not completely devoid of consciousness. She remembers everything vividly, and some of the things she has done has haunted her to this day.

Lonely: Yuki is secretly very lonely. She longs for meaningful relationships. Unfortunately she just keeps pushing people away, either due to her curse, her naturally cold nature, or her lack of trust. It really is a vicious cycle for her, as whenever someone manages to get in close to her she often times ends up sabotaging herself to even greater extents!

Mistrustful: Due to an unforgiving past Yuki has found it very difficult to trust people. Far too many times have people taken advantage of it. These days she puts up walls around herself and keeps wary of anyone who gets too close. Of course sometimes this can become a hindrance during missions, as she seeks to do everything she possibly can. After all can she really rely upon anyone else to do as good a job as she can?

Naive: A lesser fault, Yuki is a slight bit naive in certain ways in which the world works, especially on Earth. So focused has she been on her training and fighting that she has sort of ignored many other aspects in life.

Shameless: Yuki will speak her mind without fear. After all, she is only being honest! But then sometimes this can come off as perhaps a little crude. She does try to curb this issue around other nobles, again to save face for her house, but she isn't always successful. When she is alone she often likes to under-dress as well, but this is more for comfort than anything else.

Stubborn: Yuki is unyielding. While this can certainly be a positive it can also be self-destructive at times. She sees things through to the end, no matter what it might cost her.

Vengeful: Yuki is a creature of wrath. If something hurts her, or especially if something hurts someone she cares about, she will stop at nothing to destroy whatever that something might be, no matter how long it might take or how dangerous the path might be.

Wild Berserker: When Yuki's inner beast is fully let loose she becomes uncontrollable. Everything becomes prey to her, a foe to conquer and devour. Even those close to her may no longer be safe. When she is in truly dire straights this nature of hers generally rears its ugly head.

Loyalties: None.

Goals: She hopes to become the strongest Shinigami in history, to bring great glory to her people's name. She also seeks to send all Hollows to Soul Society, although this is partially a matter of vengeance. She hopes to someday pull herself free from the vicious cycle created by her inner self, to finally make some friends. She also seeks to continue her house's legacy.

Habits: Yuki has a habit of staring at people. It can be a little emotionless and just a little bit creepy at times, but she does like to learn everything she can about people around herself. And while she can keep a stoic face her tail and ears can sometimes betray her true emotions. Also she can generally be found in one of three places: in her garden, at the training grounds, or out hunting.

1942 - Mother slain by Hollows. Yuki becomes the new head of the clan and its only remaining member.
1976 - After years of frustration with Kido training Yuki enrolls into Shinigami Academy.
2009 - Finally graduated from the academy through unusual means and joined 5th Division.

Overarching History
Born into a lesser noble clan, Yuki has never experienced the hardships of the vast majority of people. She had toys, loving parents, clothes, a comfortable home, a garden, and she never went hungry, at least not for food. Unfortunately the Kameko clan had been cursed for as long as their history had been recorded. They were beasts, savages gifted with nobility only through the heroic actions of her grandfather. Even so, through selective breeding they had managed to at least humanize themselves to an appropriate level, with Yuki having been the greatest advancement of that project thus far.

Her early years were the happiest of her life. In the mornings they ate together. She would receive some home schooling from her father, and whenever she got a question right he would always reward her with one of his famously comfortable hugs. In the afternoon she'd venture out with her parents into the strawberry garden for lunch, the very same garden she'd help her mom plant and care for. And at night after having her dinner and a warm bath she'd receive stories of her family's past exploits, listening to great heroic tales while she drifted off to sleep.

It was when she joined general schooling that her days started to darken. Try as she might to be friendly, to make friends, the other children could not see past what she was on the outside. They teased her. Bullied her. They would pull her tail, pull on her ears, steal her lunch, and pelted her with rocks. Being young she sometimes lost control of herself and fought back. Even so, her parents encouraged her to keep with it, to do her best to be kind even to her enemies, claiming that they would eventually change. After all she wasn't that much different from them!

As it turned out it started to work! More of the children grew friendly with her. She learned better control from her father during the nights. She was finally beginning to make some friends in class. However a couple of the children, minor nobles like herself, continued to pick on her, only growing angrier when the other kids started to take Yuki's side.

One day the two children ambushed her. They started to beat her, kick her, and her cries brought out a few onlookers within her class. While they shouted for the bullies to stop none were brave enough to actually step in for her. Eventually she couldn't hold her feral nature back. She lashed out, lacerating one of the boys across his cheek with her claws. It was a brief loss of control, and when she regained her senses she begged for the boy's forgiveness. But he was not ready to forgive.

While one boy held her down the wounded boy retrieved a pocket knife. In a fit of rage the boy plunged the weapon into Yuki's left eye. Her screams finally caught the attention of a few adults, and they managed to break up the scuffle. A sit down was held between her family and the family of the boy that had taken her eye. There was a distinct lack of remorse on behalf of the family that had wounded her. In their eyes blood had been spilled on both sides. Things were to be left as they were. Any respect she held for the noble families disappeared. Unfortunately her father lost control of himself and mauled the child to death in the ensuing tussle.

Their family departed for home. Her father taught her that day the importance of keeping control, of fighting the inner beast which each within their family held. And try as he might to reassure her that it was not her fault, Yuki knew the truth. If she hadn't lost control then he never would have been placed into the position he was in. He hugged her, kissed her mother, and turned himself in. A week later Yuki stood by her mother's side while her father was executed for his crime.

Yuki was removed from general schooling to be taught at home. A year following this she was placed into a pre-training course for the Shinigami Academy. While she excelled at combat and showed great improvements when it came to her physical aptitude tests she always struggled to grasp even the most basic of kido. Still, she had plenty of time to learn it.

When the second world war erupted on Earth there came a call for more Shinigami. Her mother answered that call, hoping to mend the Kameko family's honor. For roughly four years she was called away, having only returned for brief periods of rest. Then, one day, Yuki received word that she had been slain by a Hollow. Not only did this leave her the head of her family, but also its sole survivor. She was alone and left heartbroken over her loss with nobody to turn to.

For many years Yuki continued her training, primarily in solitude. She could have enrolled within the academy, but she wanted to at least have a basic understanding of kido first. Eventually however she grew frustrated, and believing that perhaps the reason she wasn't learning was because she was trying to teach herself, she ultimately decided to apply for the academy. Her combat skills and natural physical aptitude alone gained her entry, but it alone would not suffice for her graduation.

Many more years passed. She learned from the best, and for the most part she developed into a skilled Shinigami! However she still could not even conjure up even the most basic of kido. Something was wrong with her, or so she believed. Nothing seemed to work. Time and time again she failed her test. Even so, she was relentless. Eventually her accrued skill in other areas caught the eye of a Shinigami from the fifth division. An exception was made to graduate her without having completed her kido training, so long as she joined up with the fifth. Ever since she's spent as much time as possible hunting down Hollows, having finally gained the chance to seek vengeance for her mother's demise.

Katsumi and Kokoro
Twin Goddesses of Chaos and Order

Inner Spirits: Katsumi is a chaotic, hateful, savage spirit representing chaos. She takes the form of an enormous white wolf, mouth sewn shut by thick silken threads. An enormous sword remains trapped within her maw, blade stuck within a red sheathe. A collar with a bell and ropes is worn around her neck. Most of the time she remains anchored in place by a massive red torii. Any speech from either of the two spirits is spoken through Katsumi despite the binds holding her mouth shut, her voice carrying a slightly malicious growl at all times.

Kokoro is a calm, kind, protective spirit representing order. She takes the form of a young girl wearing a shine maiden's outfit. Kokoro is 5' 3" tall with skin as white as snow though warm to the touch. Her hair is white and reaches her shoulders. She also has a white wolf tail and ears. It does not appear as though she speaks on her own and instead communicates through Katsumi.

It is often easy to tell who is in control. When Katsumi is in control she pushes Yuki to battle, to slay her foes and hunt prey, to distrust the world and focus upon any flaw within the people around her. On the rare occasion that Kokoro does attain full control she speaks softly, encourages Yuki, and takes a more peaceful approach when at all possible. In the most dire of situations the two appear to level each other out, focusing primarily upon protecting Yuki, however this equilibrium is rarely present.

Inner World: The inner world of the twin goddesses is a landscape forever locked in night. A seemingly endless field of knee-high grass sways gently in waves with a calm breeze, stretching across soft rolling hills. In the sky a bright full moon casts down light, providing enough of it so that one is able to see for miles. In the center of this world rests a small wooden house constructed in the traditional Japanese style. Within the house is a low seated table.

Sealed Zanpakuto: A katana with a blade four feet long (121 cm) which, for someone of her size, is a little large. The sheathe is black with a darkened gold tsuba which splits off into each cardinal direction as a protruding block, each one sporting a half moon opening in the center. The ito which covers the handle is pure black, punctuated a third of the way up by a ring of gold, and a golden orb on each side only a few centimeters higher. The kashira is a slightly polished gold.

Release Command: "To tomoni." (Together as one.)

Released Zanpakuto: Once released Yuki's blade undergoes a major transformation. The blade's length does not increase but the width flares out slightly near the tip. The edge shifts to a white color with straight red lines running along the length, ending in a jagged split as though two blades were attempting to disconnect from one another.

Release Ability: While her shikai is activated Yuki's body remains coated in thick black flames, although instead of flickering like normal they appear to drip upwards into oblivion. Within this thin shell her spiritual pressure is greatly amplified. The flames themselves feel cold, although they won't do any lasting harm to anyone who comes into contact with them. These same flames also pour out from Yuki's left eye despite the damage done to it.

Kokoro's nature is to protect. When Yuki suffers a wound the damage is dealt and the pain is inflicted upon her. However the black flames fill the wound, mend it slightly, and keep it stitched together for as long as her shikai remains active. She will not bleed from damage inflicted upon her, nor can limbs be severed or bones broken. This allows her to continue to fight far beyond the limits that any normal Shinigami might be capable of. However every wound inflicted upon her does reap an extra toll upon her energy reserves.

Katsumi's nature is to destroy. Wounds suffered by Yuki only feed the curse within her body. As the curse takes greater hold over her it deals this damage back upon her foes, increasing her striking power with every successful blow delivered upon her. The longer she fights and the more wounds she suffers through the greater the damage Yuki deals out to her enemies.

Once the shikai is sealed away, whether due to a lack of energy or by her will, every wound still held together by her shikai will open up once more. This sudden barrage of damage further strains her body. However if she is healed up before this moment her wounds can be avoided altogether.
