Clothing and Accessories: Because Meili no longer has to conform to the rules of the Gotei, she has forgone wearing the normal Shihakusho, instead choosing to wear a more mature variation of a Qipao. The dress is a creamy white in color, with blue accents covering the stitching, as well as having a blue lotus design on the bottom of the dress. The dress leaves her back exposed, and has a diamond-shaped cut-out on the front, showing off some of her meagre cleavage. She wears a pair of white, knee-high stockings, and blue loafers.
When in her Gigai, she doesn't have a standard set of clothing, but it is common for her to wear the uniform of her work. A plain white button up shirt over a pair of blue slacks, a pair of black shoes, and she has her nametag on her left breast.
Generalized Appearance: Meili Yan Baozhai stands at approximately five foot two inches tall, and weighs in at around ninety-four pounds. She is a fairly petite person, with small, B-cup breasts, and her caramel colored skin is free of blemishes, aside from a rather large scar that runs across her abdomen. Her green eyes seem kind at first, but hold a warrior’s spirit deep within. In the four years of exile, Meili has also gotten herself a tattoo upon her back, with the tattoo being of a yellow swallow flying away from a blue lotus.
Spiritual Pressure Analysis: Meili's spiritual pressure has changed over the years. While originally, it was tumultuous, now it is much more vicious, having some bite to it. When visible, her spiritual pressure takes on a yellowish, electrical aura.
Overall Personality: Meili is an honorable individual, much like the rest of her family. She holds people who treat others with respect, regardless of their situation, in high regard, and views those who only treat themselves well as worse than trash. Her sense of honor is also found in his combat style, as she will often treat all combat situations as a friendly duel, bowing before and after the fight, regardless of if they won or not. She is quite caring to those she views as friends and loved ones, often going out of her way to make sure they are protected and cared for, as if she were everyone’s big sister.
Meili is also a bit of a worrywort, her biggest concern being her father, wondering if she could ever hold a candle to him. After being betrayed by the Suzumei family, as well as the rest of the Gotei and being branded a criminal, Meili's personality has taken a change. She no longer acts like a fool, instead keeping her emotions bottled up, except around those she knows without a shadow of a doubt she can trust. She has also become much more stoic than before, having learned from her mistakes in the past, willing to do whatever it takes to get things done, even if it means breaking the sacred laws of the Gotei.

Overarching History
Birth and Early Chaos
Meili Yan Baozhai was born in the spring of 2006 to the Baozhai Noble Family, a minor family that, unlike the other Noble families, decided to take up residence in the Rukon, in one of the Red Light districts. This was so that the family could have control over that specific Red Light district, much to the chagrin of the other Noble families. Meili was born from the consort to one of the nobles, a male Shinigami who was in a seated position in the 6th division. Meili’s early life was generally happy, however, her life would become quite hectic shortly after he turned 3.
After her 3rd birthday, their house was broken into. Not by bandits or anything of the sort. No, the manor was broken into by a group of Quincy hoping to restart the wars. They planned to do this by kidnapping children of the Shinigami and forcing the hand of the Shinigami as a whole to act. Meili herself doesn’t remember much, other than countless hours of crying. However, she does remember that after a few days, a battle erupted between the Quincy and a group of Shinigami, her father leading the charge.
From what she’s read in the personal logs of the Baozhai, this mission was unsanctioned and off the records, the only reason it’s discussed is because of the importance it held in Shinigami matters. According to the books, the “mission” was helmed by her father and several other Shinigami who suffered from the kidnappings. All together, there were around 8 Shinigami on the mission, and of the 8, only 5 made it back, but all the kids were rescued. Unfortunately, Meili’s father was not one of the ones to make it back.
Becoming a Student
Years passed by, and Meili, now 8 years old, was allowed to join the Shinōreijutsuin as a Noble representative. She’s spent her 6 years training, both her body and her Kido, only neglecting her Zanjutsu due to the fact her Asuachi that was handed to her is a Tanto, meaning she would be better off training her fists rather than the blade. She does, however, try to communicate with the blade and has, so far, been mostly unsuccessful.

Raimei
Thunderclap (Japanese)
Inner Spirit: Raimei takes the appearance of a great, serpentine dragon. She is always surrounded by balls of lightning, and she flies gracefully through the air. Her upper scales take on a white color with bright yellow markings, while her underbelly is a deep emerald color. She has a single horn that protrudes from her forehead, and her face is a pure white in color, in stark contrast to the rest of her body. Her purple eyes have gentle undertones behind their slit pupils. She has bright yellow spikes along her back at intervals of several feet, with her tail being covered in them at much closer intervals. Her six feet are usually curled up beneath her. She never speaks, so Meili has no idea what her voice really sounds like, as her thoughts are always just translated directly into his mind.
Inner World: Meili’s inner world, at first glance, appears to be an endless sea of thunderclouds. The grey, wispy clouds act as solid as the normal ground. Rain is constantly streaming from the thunder clouds, with lightning being able to be seen in the distance. Raimei has said that the more thunder and lightning, the more troubled Meili is.
Sealed Zanpakuto: While sealed, Raimei takes on the appearance of a fairly simple Tanto. The sheathe is a deep black in color, with yellow accents making their way along the sheathe. The blade appears to have a small cloud with a lightning bolt coming out from it etched into it close to the handle.
Release Command: Boom, Raimei
Released Zanpakuto: When released, Meili is covered by an aura of lightning as a pair of gauntlets appear upon her hands. Each gauntlet seems to crackle with energy. Her hair also grows considerably longer, now being able to reach her ankles.
Release Ability: Raimei gives Meili the ability to electrify her hand-to-hand attacks. Her hand-to-hand attacks also have the *boom* of thunder.

She does, however, wear a badge on her shoulder that signifies she is a student of the Shinōreijutsuin.
When in a Gigai, she wears a school uniform, complete with pink plaid skirt, knee-high socks, brown loafers, a white dress shirt, a ribbon tie, and a pink blazer with a school emblem on it.
