Muted Approval [Lux Regis] Empty Muted Approval [Lux Regis]

Post by Slevin Sat Jun 13, 2020 3:09 pm

Slevin yawned as the Seikaimon opened up in front of him to some place overlooking Karakura, the city of doom. He had a mission today, and it was simply to deliver information to the shinigami who was working here. The amount of things Slevin could do was limited, because he had a flaw that basically took him out of the running for being a good shinigami. After all, Slevin was unique in his own odd way. Silence came from his mouth as he rubbed at his eyes with his gloved hand and hoped out of the gate. He grabbed a tree, and slowly climbed down it.

He let go of the tree and looked around. There was no sign of Slevin's issue so he let out a large sigh, but no sound came out as he blinked and looked around to get his bearings. He had missed the City proper, of course he had missed the city proper. Slevin really wished someone would invent a more easy way to open Seikaimon to where he needed to go. He ran his hands through his red hair and shifted to look back and forth.

Slevin couldn't sense reiatsu, so the chances of finding anything were slim to none and he still had to find a way to deliver this stuff. He had another glaring issue, human's couldn't see him, and he couldn't talk anyway. He made another soundless sigh and looked around. He was overlooking the plaza, park and mall. He had a bit of a walk to get down there, but if there was a shinigami patrolling the area, Slevin would probably see them in a bit.

He decided to think nothing of it for the moment and wandered down the hill towards the city. He put his hands interlocked behind his neck with his elbows outstretched and pretended to hum, though like everything there was no sound except the sound of him walking on the ground. The mute finally made it down to the main road and looked around, and was fascinated by the rock star outfit one of the humans had on. Though Slevin was sure they couldn't see him, he went up to the young man and started looking him over.

He did so for a minute before giving the man a thumbs up for his outfit that Slevin was sure couldn't be seen. Too bad for the mute, the man he had been inspecting could in fact, see him.

Rubedo was left to his own to wander about Karakura at his leisure, wearing flashy leather rock star clothing this time to try something different in fashion. He just finished eating a chocolate bar until someone walked up to him and took a good look at his attire before giving a thumbs up. The young man was taken aback by such a gesture giving a slack jawed expression, and the attire of the other person looked like it came out from old era Japan. It was hard not to blink thrice.

You don’t look so bad yourself.” Rubedo responded coolly. He hadn’t seen a Shinigami in ages and thought of them as a myth. He could be taking a risk but the sudden appearance made him react immediately due to his own curiosity if the shinigami was going to react the same way in surprise. Though he was alone, he kept one hand in his pant’s pocket where his cellphone remained in case of an emergency though Ruby kept a confident air about him knowing the shinigami might think little of a human.

Slevin heard the man speak, and was instantly confused. He blinked and then moved to his side to look in the man's ear, thinking he had one of those hands free things or something. When he saw the man's eyes focus on him Slevin pointed to himself with his gloved hands and then back at the man's eyes. As if asking him if he could in fact, see him. Slevin had heard of humans like this, but he had never seen one. He reached up after and scratched the back of his head confused.

He then held up a finger, as if to say "Wait". Then he pointed at his outfit and then looked around before pointing at a uniformed waiter in the difference. He was trying to explain that he was wearing work clothes, but it probably just came off as confusing. He made a set of motions that were more or less pointing to himself and then around before he added pointing at his own eyes. Attempting to convey the question of if the human had seen another shinigami around.

A finger was pointed at him and then at the shinigami himself, Ruby nodded as if understanding the gesture that he could in fact see him. This was indeed an odd predicament he found himself in. A real Shinigami. Right before him, a rare sight indeed. Rubedo removed his hand from his pocket to lessen the tension on himself and let it rest by his side letting his topaz embedded ring gleam in the sun.

Rubedo stayed put and tilted his head when the shinigami pointed at another person, he followed the finger to a waiter. Either this person was trying to be discreet or just didn’t feel the need to speak, then again he was talking to thin air and people were starting to pass by. He let out an exhale trying to decipher this shinigami’s flailing about.

I am unsure what you are trying to convey, but perhaps this is not the place to speak.” Rubedo said, he nodded his head towards an alleyway. “Would you join me in a less conspicuous area?” he waited to see if the Shinigami would agree and join him in the alley.

Slevin made a look of annoyance. Not like anyone could see him anyway. Or hear him for that matter. He walked behind the human towards the alley, humans must really love their alleys. You would think they would just talk out in the open or something. Weird culture, he was happy he didn't remember it. He sighed, though once again nothing came out as he waited for the other person to decide whether or not Slevin was going to talk. Which he wasn't. Speaking of which, pun intended he thought to himself before looking at the man's ring. Humans were like the idiot nobles, gaudy as hell for some reason.

The outfit was awesome, the ring just looked out of place and confusing. Slevin waited for the human to look at him before pointing at his neck and pretending to scream, which was just a puff of air. He was trying to get the mute thing across but was he guessed doing a bad job of it. Then again in Soul Society a muted shinigami was pretty dam weird in and of itself so he could just go off that reputation or the fact that he had another much more terrible problem. Then he pointed to his outfit again and pointed around in a circle, once again trying to ask if the human had seen another shinigami. If so, where? Then he pointed at the humans eyes and made a puzzled look. As if it ask how long he could see them.

he made gestures indicating that he could not speak and it finally clicked in Ruby’s brain hole. The young man placed a hand over his face then shook his head in disbelief at his stupidity. Of course, this one was mute and he thought the shinigami was just trying to be silent so as not to cause a scene around the unawares.

My apologies,” Rubedo said with sincerity behind his voice. The Shinigami made more gestures to himself, this time Ruby paid more attention and tried to decipher. It was to bad he didn’t carry a notepad and he sure wasn’t going to hand over his phone in case it would be stolen, though he was unsure how well these ghost beings were good at handling technology.

I haven’t seen another one of you,” Rubedo replied finally understanding what he was indicating about, though the second one took him a bit more to process. “I can see them and the monsters, yes, if that is what you are asking.” he then leaned his back against a building wall, taking out a sleek metallic lighter and flicked open its lid and closed it repeatedly out of habit.

Slevin shrugged as he looked at the man and wondered why he was so antsy. From playing with things in his pockets, to playing with a lighter. Slevin didn't really do anything like that because he wasn't sure why or how he would have. Though the human hadn't seen another shinigami which kind of sucked and Slevin sighed and put his hands down in defeat at that comment. He was also asking about the amount of time the human had been able to see them but he figured that wasn't going to get into the human's skull either.

Slevin nodded politely and smiled at the human as if to thank him for the information. He wasn't entirely sure what he was going to do now. He didn't want to just wait for the shinigami to show up, because if that happened it would most likely be due to a hollow, and that would suck. Slevin wriggled his nose as he put on a puzzled look and pointed back towards the plaza area and then around and back to the man before pointing at his eyes. As if to ask if there were other humans he knew about that could do that. Slevin was now rather curious.

The shinigami started pointing at the others in the plaza then back to him. Ruby took the hint and shook his head in response. “I haven’t seen any others yet myself who are spiritually aware. But I heard this town has rumors lately seeing haunted things, guess they were right on that.” he once again thumbed at his lighter. Damn he was craving some nicotine, but alas he would have to hold off such temptation since he had stopped but still had the craving habit.

He let out an exhale and tucked away the metallic lighter and peered around the plaza a moment before looking back at the shinigami. “I won’t keep you if you’re busy. I’m kind of new to these parts and don’t know my way around yet.” that much was true, he had other duties though to attend to himself and he didn’t wish to keep either of them from their duties.

Slevin didn't really have a duty so much as a errand so he bowed politely at the human to thank him and then went wandering off. Shadow boxing as he did so. Letting the small amount of power thrum with each swing. He did it while avoiding people that couldn't see him as he exited the alley because it didn't really matter what he did. He switched feet and danced before letting a small side jab and uppercut out as he wandered off in to streets to find some shinigami that he had no idea where he was going to be anyway.

Slevin liked that human, he was nice even if he didn't know anything. Little too gaudy for him though, but the outfit was pretty slick, the mute made his way down the street, silent as a whisper. Which was how Slevin usually was. Quiet as a mouse.
