Kido: Uncensored (Open)

The Angel of Mercy heaved a loud sigh as she slumped against a tree. She looked up at the sky through the branches overhead, watching clouds drift through the inky sky. The sun had long since left her, abandoned to her current duty.

Va'tet's shiny pink armor weighed her down as she trudged along through these woods, wondering when she'd know if she'd gone far enough. It hadn't sounded like a far walk when her elder 3rd Division member told her the directions to the new Kido Training zone. But, putting one foot in front of the other, Va'tet brushed the hair from her eyes and continued onward, repeating his very specific instructions to herself.

"Go right out the gate. Keep walking right past the town; wouldn't want the innocent souls getting caught up in our spellcasting, right? Just keep walking, don't stop. Keep on going straight. Far as your legs can go."

Now, of course, Va'tet realized his directions hadn't been perfect. That must have been why his friend had laughed. She obviously needed to go around the trees and sidestep the bushes. But she was doing her absolute best to stay true to what he meant rather than what he had said. Va'tet wasn't stupid. She nodded to herself, feeling proud at the progress she'd been making as a person in recent weeks.

She'd set out this morning after breakfast, so she was certain she'd reach the place her more senior members had told her about. Even she couldn't get lost if she just kept going straight! Such simple directions, she thought with a laugh. Though... her chest and legs were burning with the effort of the walk. Was she out of shape?

Slevin wandered around as he scratched at his back with his gloved hands. He was on his way to deliver a few notes and missives, which was most of his work considering his crippling fear of hollow and the fact that he couldn't speak. Which, limited his skill set to hakuda and whatever other stupid things he could do to pass the time, including but not limited too, working out, cooking, working out, running, working out, swimming, working out and tea, and working out. The mute thought about that visibly with a quirked set of lips and realized he had thought about working out too much. At least being back in the swing of things meant more work, and more work meant more things to do.

He made his way through the woods and yawned to himself before pulling out a map and studying it carefully, trying to figure out where he was supposed to be. He stared at the map and rubbed his chin questioningly as he looked at the forest and realized everything looked the bloody same. How was he supposed to find a post in the forest!? He wanted to throat punch something but decided against destroying the map after he took about ten minutes to figure out roughly where he was.

He had another klom or two to go. That was when he heard someone laughing from deeper into the forest, which wasn't creepy at all.... Slevin would have called out, but yea that was so useful. He frowned and moved forward, sticking to shadows as he looked around for the owner of said voice.

Va'tet rested against a tree, having a good laugh at herself.

Clearly she hadn't been doing enough physical training. She was frail, slow and weak. Why else would she have been unable to reach the training ground? Clearly the fault lay in her soft arms and legs.

Unless...

Va'tet tilted her head and suddenly silenced herself. What if this was the training grounds? A heavily wooded forest, full of obstacles that would make using Kido more dangerous? To be able to successfully use magic here would mean one was a master of the art!

Grinning to herself, Va'tet decided that this was clearly the truth. But what kind of spells should she practice? Lower tier Hado seemed the logical option due to its low destructiveness, but they were most effective on a single humanoid target.

Coming to a decision, Va'tet started to focus.

Slevin wandered through the trees before he saw the wings... at which point his cares pretty much went into oblivion. The problem with Slevin's personal distaste for everything was he didn't really care what people thought or did. If she wanted to be crazy, let her. I mean, he had modified his own outfit with gloves and a lack of sleeves simply because whenever he used skills they seemed to explode his clothing anyway.

That brought up another interesting point, why didn't the captains do that? Or the nobles who were all killing eachother off for fun. He was glad he wasn't political, that way he could live longer, though he was sure it wouldn't take long before whatever divine moron decided they wanted to be in charge would off another 10% of the shinigami population. Luckily, he was a grunt that did grunt work, always a need for grunts. His skills went as far as deliveries and zug zug smash.

So the mute wandered through the area where the focusing person in wings was and pulled out his map again to make sure he was going the right way again before waving at the person. No reason to not be polite.

Va'tet had been wholly focused on her training, and as such, did not see the approaching man. The delusional Shinigami had her eyes half-closed as she concentrated, trying to say the words as softly and quietly as she could. Maybe, if she practiced lowering the volume of her incantations, she could move on to silent casting.

"Sprinkled on the bones of the beast! Sharp tower, red crystal, steel ring. Move and become the wind, stop and become the calm. The sound of warring spears fills the empty castle!" She spoke in a quiet voice, though her tone was more song-like than traditional incantations.

The winged Shinigami had one hand raised above her head as she sang, and raw Spiritual energy crackled along her arm, manifesting as electricity in her palm. Her eyes widened as she swung her arm down, "Hadō #63. Raikōhō!"

The bolt of lightning blasted straight from her hand, only a few scant meters from her surprise visitor. If she hadn't been firing a spell, Va'tet would have jumped and screamed in surprise at the sudden appearance.
