Infection from Hell [SOLO]
Meili gasped as she opened her eyes, her vision slowly normalizing. Looking around, for a little bit she couldn't exactly tell where she was. It wasn't until a bright flash of lightning would streak across the sky that she had an indication. She was in her Inner World...however it seemed...different. The storm clouds that normally made up the ground were much darker than usual. So dark, in fact, that Meili wouldn't have even know they were storm clouds without that streak of lightning illuminating them.
The rain that normally poured upside down seemed to be coming out in torrents, as if behind the storm clouds was a waterfall. Despite all of this, Meili still remained dry as ever. However, something else that struck her as odd...Raimei was nowhere to be seen...or heard, which was highly unusual. Maybe Raimei just didn't know she was here?
"Well...since she's not here...maybe I can explore..."
Resolving herself, Meili started walking, not really having any set direction.
She walked for what seemed like hours, still never running into Raimei, or even finding any glimpse of her at all. Though, the more she walked, the more lightning seemed to streak across the sky...or rather the ground, as it were. Though, it did seem that all of the lightning strikes were centering into a specific point, so after a while, Meili started to follow the lightning. After that, her trip started to get a lot smoother, as eventually, she would come across something she'd never seen before in her Inner World.
At the center of where each strike of lightning would lead to, was the tip of a mountain, easily 30 stories tall. Etched into the side of the mountain seemed to be a stone tablet, with the appearance of...Raimei?! This caused Meili to run towards the mountain, her form suddenly becoming drenched as all of her fears washed over her. Did she do this? How could Raimei be sealed in the mountain?! How could she get her out? All of these questions and more raced through her mind as she approached the stone tablet.
"Raimei!"
Meili shouted into the storm, bashing one of her small fists against the tablet, trying to see if anything happened. Instead, sinister laughter started to echo around her. The laughter stared to get louder...and louder...until finally it ceased altogether, a voice speaking directly behind Meili.
"She can't hear you...not right now anyways..." A sinister giggle echoed after the words were spoken.
Swiftly turning around, Meili would see if she could figure out who the voice was coming from...only to see...nobody...
"Oh...no...it's much too early to show myself to you...hehehehe...instead...I'll just let you suffer...and wonder...and then...when it's right..." Meili felt an intense pain in her stomach, and looking down at where the pain originated from, she could only release a gasp, as the blade of Raimei pierced through her gut, Meili's blood dripping from the blade's tip.
---------
Back in the real world, Meili awoke with a start, screaming at the top of her lungs. She didn't realize where she was, and for a split second, she was ready to run. But as her eyes adjusted...she realized that she was in her room back at the safe house.
