Clothing and Accessories: Melinda can usually be found in one of two outfits. The first of these is her casual outfit, which is a black and red Japanese schoolgirl uniform. The uniform itself is pure black, with deep red lines on the collar, the ends of her sleeves, and the end of her skirt. The undershirt she wears with this is a turtleneck style shirt, and covers everything from her neck to her stomach, but is entirely sleeveless, letting only the uniform top cover her arms. She wears two black gloves emblazoned with red pentagrams on the backs of her hand. Her ruffled skirt hides the panties she wears underneath. The panties she normally wears are black, usually string-tied. Her legs are clad with thigh-length stockings, and her feet are clad in a pair of dark brown loafers.
Her second outfit is her work “uniform”. This outfit is split into multiple parts, the first of these being a grey, skin-tight bodysuit. Over the bodysuit, are several sections of darker grey padded armor, specifically along the wrists, shoulders, torso, and legs, with a hood made of the same material. A brown belt hangs loosely around her hips, containing lockpicks, small knives, and other tools that make getting her in and out of her target’s location easier. While wearing this outfit, she wraps part of her ponytail around her neck, letting the rest of it hang loosely in front of her chest. On the left side of the padded armor that covers her chest, is the emblem of her division, a stylized “S” that looks strikingly similar to a dagger. She also wears a dark grey mask beneath the hood, the eyes giving off an eerie glow as the eyeholes can double as night-vision goggles. The mouthpiece of the mask is customized for each individual, and Melinda has chosen to customize hers with the design of a snake’s mouth, complete with dripping venom and forked tongue flicking out.
Generalized Appearance: Melinda Apollinariya is a young woman through and through. She stands at a staggeringly average height of five feet four inches, and weighs in at around one-hundred fourteen pounds. Her skin is pale white, and covered in scars, burn marks, and acid burns. She has small, B-cup breasts, with inverted nipples and light pink areola. Her back has two large birthmarks which take the appearance of black scales. She has long, ankle-length black hair with natural purple highlights. She usually wears her hair in a single, braided ponytail while leaving a few long strands to cover the right side of her face. Her eyes are a yellow-ish color and seem almost dead, with dark bags underneath, whether from a lack of sleep or scars from the toll on her mind, nobody knows.
Spiritual Pressure Analysis: Melinda's Spiritual Pressure is much like her own personality. Shattered, broken, and overall, damaged. However, behind the damaged exterior lies a scared little girl that desperately needs help.
Overall Personality: Melinda is a truly broken individual. Her mind has essentially been shattered, pulling all the good that she once had and leaving only the raw, unfiltered evil that all living things are capable of. She enjoys the pain and suffering she causes, seeming to get off on it, and harbors no love for any living or dead beings, save for two individuals. The only thing that reigns her in is knowing that killing without orders would upset her...creator. However, that doesn’t stop her from hurting others. As long as they live, and she leaves no evidence of her involvement, it’s as if she never even did anything.
Positive Traits:
Cautious: Melinda is a cautious person. She doesn’t just rush into dangerous situations without being able to know all there is to know about the situation.
Intelligent: Despite how she carries herself, Melinda is actually highly intelligent and has very good memory retention, being able to remember the exact times for seemingly minor things, such as where, when, and how she got her first scar, as well as who gave it to her and what they were wearing.
Negative Traits:
Psychotic: Melinda is the true definition of psychotic. Due to her past, and the torture she endured, she has almost no grasp of reality and almost exclusively lives in her own reality.
Apathetic: Melinda is almost completely unable to understand another person’s feelings, save for a few people.
Sadistic: Melinda absolutely loves making others feel pain. In her mind, she’s giving others the pain she herself had to endure throughout her childhood.
Murderous: If left unchecked, Melinda has the capacity to become the world’s most notorious serial killer. She has absolutely no regard for human life, and doesn’t care if it is man, woman, or child in front of her.
Obsessive: When Melinda does find something that she likes, she will completely obsess over that thing, to an extremely unhealthy degree. She won’t sleep unless she knows her obsession is “safe”.
Loyalties: Herself: Melinda is firstly loyal to herself, in every essence of the word.
Apollo: While not completely loyal to her handler, Apollo is one of the few human connections she has to the outside world that she doesn't have to kill and/or maim.
Goals: "Fix" Herself: Deep in her subconscious, Melinda knows that she is broken. She knows why she is broken, at least deep down she does. So her main goal is to fix her broken mind, be it through science or...other methods.
Break Free from Apollo: Her other main goal is to be free from Apollo, so that she can do what she wants, when she wants, how she wants, where she wants. She knows that this is a nearly impossible goal, as she has no idea who, or even where, Apollo ever is, only that they call her when they have a job for her.
Habits: Melinda has a habit of talking to herself, at least from an outside perspective. In reality, she's having an internal discussion between her broken and shattered personalities, Mel, the dominant and outward personality, and Linda, the submissive and inward personality.

Overarching History
Early Childhood: The details of Melinda Apollinariya’s birth and early childhood are shrouded in red tape and black ink. However, what is known is that she was born in the winter in the year 2000 in a small Russian town. Her family, former USSR agents, were granted asylum in the US by the government and moved to the States in mid 2001, a few months before the tragic events in September of that year.
However, all was not well. Melinda’s family was deep in debt, and only going deeper and deeper into the hole. By the time Melinda was 5, she’d been in more houses than she cared to remember, each one worse than the last. There was, however, a shining light at the end of this dark tunnel. A government agency was offering families a chance to earn a lot of money. All they had to do was sign their children up for a study. Melinda’s family didn’t even bother to read the fine print on the contract, and shortly before Melinda would have turned 6, she, and 134 other children, were taken to a governmental research facility.
Let the Research Begin: At first, the study was easy. The government wanted to see how these 135 children, Melinda included, could handle various levels of stress. This included giving them tests that they couldn’t pass, putting them in strange situations, and even interrupting their naps. However, during a dark spring evening, the 135 children were spirited away from the building, taken away by men and women in lab coats, and some people in black suits. Melinda remembered looking back as all the children were loaded onto buses and seeing some of the men pouring a smelly liquid all over the building, lighting a match, and letting it burn. The buses drove Melinda and the other children to a private small airport, and each and every child was loaded onto a plane bound for Japan. They were also drugged so they would sleep on the flight. When Melinda awoke, she, along with the rest of the children, were in some kind of laboratory. They were all dressed up in hospital gowns, with no personal effects. This was where the real research began.
How Much Stress can a Child Handle?
Like before, the research was mostly psychological, trying to determine how much stress Melinda and the others could handle, however, this time, all safety precautions were removed. Children were kept up for days. They were forced to listen to loud, droning sounds for weeks on end. Some of the children were showing signs of breaking. Because their names were so similar, Linda started to call Melinda, Mel, so as to not confuse each other or other people. Mel and Linda grew thick as thieves in this new hellscape, learning to live off each other and work together. The researchers saw this, and took note, especially when they realized that Melinda and Linda had compatible Fullbrings, Melinda’s being corrosive liquid that turned out to be highly flammable, and Linda’s Fullbring, which was r̶̡̲̄̌̄͜e̶̞̔͊̀͘c̸̛̗̫̄o̵͖̱͚̎̎͘r̶͍̀̊d̴̫̃̀̚ ̸̗̌̐͐͝s̶̘̣̉̎̏̇ê̴̼͓a̵̤͉͈͋̆͘͠ͅl̸̰̏͗͊ẽ̶͙̅̓͒ḏ̷̢̰̈̈́,̶̛̟̣͚̌̎͊ ̴̛̺p̴͖̭̅̎̕l̸̺͓̥̱̐́ĕ̸̠̗͙̮͋̅̾à̴̞̝͇̌ś̸̮̜̿͝ë̸̡̘͎͉̂̅̎ ̵̨̛͚̯̤̓̈́ć̵̮̬̘̽̂o̷̧̗͓͍̔̉̀͒n̶͓͋̿͊̌ṫ̶̨̜͂̕͝a̵̡͔̐̾c̴̯̦̳͑̈́̔̑ţ̵̬͓̌͝ ̴̳̺̾a̷̜̩͋̊̇̒d̶̺͉͚̈́͊̿m̷̤͍̠͛̆ì̶͔͒n̶̢͔̮̯̈̍͝i̶͕̼̪̫̓̍̈́s̵̻͙͍̤̓̂t̴̲̤̻͚̑̉̔̕r̸͇̀͘̕a̸̛̳̝̒̇ţ̴̯̠͚̏̚ȍ̶͎̅̃r̴̮̄. However, they also noticed something peculiar. Mel was unable to release her Fullbring on her own, and needed the assistance of Linda.
A Change in Scientists
By the spring of 2016, with almost all of the kids being either dead or insane from the stress, only Melinda, Linda, and a handful of the children were left alive. Mel had gained relative control over her Fullbring, but was still unable to release it on her own terms, still requiring the catalyst from Linda. However, things were about to drastically change for the worse. One day, the scientists who ran the program were just...gone. Replaced with an entirely new team, with an entirely new head. A young woman who wasn’t much older than Mel and Linda. This woman took an immediate shine to Mel and Linda, which caused the experiments to grow physical.
This woman, whom Mel learned was called m̶̩͙̩͊̃̿͝è̸͕͖̬̈́m̷̘͛͝o̷̩̦͕͇̔ṟ̴̽́̉͝y̵̝̻̆̈́͜ ̴̨̤̣̲̌c̷̯͑̽̀͐ö̸͇͚̩́̀̅̅r̷̡͆̿̆r̶̛̖̮̣̈́̈́̏u̴̖̥̹̾̈́̍͐p̸̪͕̞̎̿̇t̵̻̳͗, put Melinda through test after test, trying to break whatever block she had in releasing her Fullbring. These tests ranged from simple physical tests, to extreme torture, such as waterboarding, burning Melinda’s body with cigarettes, anything that would cause immense pain, but never death. However, all of the experiments were played off as games, each time Mel was able to withstand the torture, she was granted something, usually a stuffed animal, or a doll, or something that a much younger girl would love. However, as Mel had never known anything beyond this laboratory, she’d never had a childhood.
Disaster
However, the tests didn’t get to the breaking point until the summer of 2017. It was a routine Fullbring test. Melinda in one chamber, Linda in the other. Nobody knows exactly what happened. But they do know there was an explosion unlike any other. In the explosion, Melinda was thrown to the side of her chamber. When she awoke, m̶̩͙̩͊̃̿͝è̸͕͖̬̈́m̷̘͛͝o̷̩̦͕͇̔ṟ̴̽́̉͝y̵̝̻̆̈́͜ ̴̨̤̣̲̌c̷̯͑̽̀͐ö̸͇͚̩́̀̅̅r̷̡͆̿̆r̶̛̖̮̣̈́̈́̏u̴̖̥̹̾̈́̍͐p̸̪͕̞̎̿̇t̵̻̳͗. What she saw brok her. Melinda’s mind was shattered. Split in two. While the clean up crew worked, Melinda was huddled in a corner, entirely nude, giggling and talking to herself. Anyone who tried to touch her felt an intense burning as their suits would start to corrode away. The only one who was able to touch her, was the scientist, who oddly decided to comfort the young girl. This proved to be a decision that caused Mel to latch onto this scientist.
Months later, and the upper echelons were furious about the results of the experiment. It came out that they’d been kept in the dark about the accelerated pace that the scientist had initiated, that the government had had no real authority over them, and why she was able to proceed at her own pace. Had it been any other person, they would have been tried for war crimes including and not limited to human experimentation, murder, cruel and unjust punishment, and dozens of other crimes that should have landed her a lifelong sentence. However, for reasons unbeknownst to Mel, the scientist who worked on Mel was absolved of her crimes, legally at least, and allowed to remain in her high position. However, Mel, the only survivor of the experiments, was to be dealt with.
The upper echelon all but ordered her execution. Seeing her as nothing but a product of their hubris. However, two spoke out for Mel. That she could be put to use. Her mind may be broken, but her body was still strong. Thus, in the early months of 2018, Mel was transferred to serve under Svara, and given the rare chance to serve in any posting of her choice. Mel had grown close to the scientist in the last couple of months, so the girl chose to be posted with them. This posting was agreed upon, and Melinda has been in Japan ever since.
Becoming an Assassin: In the two years since the accident, Melinda has taken a relatively ordinary life on the outside. However, the truth of the matter was that she had become one of the government’s secret assassin’s. She had been granted the codename of Serpent, and answered to someone with the codename Apollo. Melinda secretly hated this arrangement,a s she knew it was just a play on her own name, however, she had no idea who Apollo actually was, or what they even looked like. For two years, she’s been reluctantly following the rules of Apollo and the government, but in those two years, she had not progressed far. She was still the bottom rung of a long ladder.

Object of Affinity: The “object” used to activate Melinda’s Fullbring is an odd one. It is her own bodily fluids, be it her saliva, her blood, her mucus, or any other naturally occurring fluids produced by her body.
Fullbring Appearance: Upon the release of Korroziya Zhizni, Melinda appears entirely unchanged. At a cursory glance, she would be. However, if one were to be able to touch Melinda, they’d notice that she is extremely...slimy. Her body is now constantly secreting a clear, slime-like substance.
Fullbring Ability: The slime that is produced by Melinda is able to corrode any naturally occurring substance in existence by altering its chemical makeup to imitate all known acidic compounds.

Blood and the color Red: Melinda loves blood. She loves looking at it, she loves feeling it on her fingertips, she loves feeling blood on her body, and most importantly, she loves the taste of blood. This has also translated into her favorite color being red, and she will sometimes go out of her way to collect anything red, be it a stuffed animal, jewels, especially anything that is colored red through bloodstains.
“Cute” Things: Melinda enjoys “cute” things, though her definition of cute is far different from most people’s. For example, one of her favorite things is a stuffed bear that most people would call “ugly as sin” as the bear appears to be a chimeric creation put together from several different stuffed bears. The bear is also splattered with blood, as each individual piece was collected from some of Melinda’s missions.
Games: Melinda enjoys games. Because the scientist tried to push the idea that the experiments were all games, Melinda has attributed anything involving human pain as a type of “game”. However, she also enjoys other types of games, such as board games, as well as the survival horror genre of video games, though she almost exclusively plays the games where she can be the killer, such as Dead by Daylight.
Horror Stories: Melinda absolutely loves horror stories, whether they be psychological horror, gore horror, or anything in between. As of now, her favorite horror series is the Ring series, the originals, not the American remakes.
Dislikes:
Males: Melinda absolutely and utterly hates males of any kind, be they young, old, or anything in between. This hatred stems from growing up and seeing the male workers in the facility take advantage of the children, or just generally be overly physically controlling in their demeanor.
Fire: Melinda has acute pyrophobia, or fear of fire. It is one of the few things in the entire world that can truly bring her into an uncontrollable murderous rampage, the reason being is that fire, in her mind, was the reason her friend died all those years ago.
Rain: Aside from her unique outfit, water is the only other counteracting agent for her Fullbring, as the water washes away all of the oils, and prevents new oil from forming. Because of this, Melinda hates rainy days, and absolutely refuses to go outside during them.
Losing her Games: Melinda enjoys her games, but she HATES losing at her games. She hates people who steal her kills, be it on her actual missions, or in her actual games. She has a tendency to destroy consoles or tables when faced with a loss.
Quirks: Melinda is extremely flexible, able to contort her body into shapes and poses that even the most highly skilled contortionists would find difficult. She also has few working pain receptors left, meaning she has a hard time feeling pain, or anything really.

The researchers saw this, and took note, especially when they realized that Melinda and Linda had compatible Fullbrings, Melinda’s being corrosive liquid that turned out to be highly flammable, and Linda’s Fullbring, which was r̶̡̲̄̌̄͜e̶̞̔͊̀͘c̸̛̗̫̄o̵͖̱͚̎̎͘r̶͍̀̊d̴̫̃̀̚ ̸̗̌̐͐͝s̶̘̣̉̎̏̇ê̴̼͓a̵̤͉͈͋̆͘͠ͅl̸̰̏͗͊ẽ̶͙̅̓͒ḏ̷̢̰̈̈́,̶̛̟̣͚̌̎͊ ̴̛̺p̴͖̭̅̎̕l̸̺͓̥̱̐́ĕ̸̠̗͙̮͋̅̾à̴̞̝͇̌ś̸̮̜̿͝ë̸̡̘͎͉̂̅̎ ̵̨̛͚̯̤̓̈́ć̵̮̬̘̽̂o̷̧̗͓͍̔̉̀͒n̶͓͋̿͊̌ṫ̶̨̜͂̕͝a̵̡͔̐̾c̴̯̦̳͑̈́̔̑ţ̵̬͓̌͝ ̴̳̺̾a̷̜̩͋̊̇̒d̶̺͉͚̈́͊̿m̷̤͍̠͛̆ì̶͔͒n̶̢͔̮̯̈̍͝i̶͕̼̪̫̓̍̈́s̵̻͙͍̤̓̂t̴̲̤̻͚̑̉̔̕r̸͇̀͘̕a̸̛̳̝̒̇ţ̴̯̠͚̏̚ȍ̶͎̅̃r̴̮̄. However, they also noticed something peculiar. Mel was unable to release her Fullbring on her own, and needed the assistance of Linda.
A Change in Scientists
By the spring of 2016, with almost all of the kids being either dead or insane from the stress, only Melinda, Linda, and a handful of the children were left alive. Mel had gained relative control over her Fullbring, but was still unable to release it on her own terms, still requiring the catalyst from Linda. However, things were about to drastically change for the worse. One day, the scientists who ran the program were just...gone. Replaced with an entirely new team, with an entirely new head. A young woman who wasn’t much older than Mel and Linda. This woman took an immediate shine to Mel and Linda, which caused the experiments to grow physical.
This woman, whom Mel learned was called m̶̩͙̩͊̃̿͝è̸͕͖̬̈́m̷̘͛͝o̷̩̦͕͇̔ṟ̴̽́̉͝y̵̝̻̆̈́͜ ̴̨̤̣̲̌c̷̯͑̽̀͐ö̸͇͚̩́̀̅̅r̷̡͆̿̆r̶̛̖̮̣̈́̈́̏u̴̖̥̹̾̈́̍͐p̸̪͕̞̎̿̇t̵̻̳͗, put Melinda through test after test, trying to break whatever block she had in releasing her Fullbring. These tests ranged from simple physical tests, to extreme torture, such as waterboarding, burning Melinda’s body with cigarettes, anything that would cause immense pain, but never death. However, all of the experiments were played off as games, each time Mel was able to withstand the torture, she was granted something, usually a stuffed animal, or a doll, or something that a much younger girl would love. However, as Mel had never known anything beyond this laboratory, she’d never had a childhood.
Disaster
However, the tests didn’t get to the breaking point until the summer of 2017. It was a routine Fullbring test. Melinda in one chamber, Linda in the other. Nobody knows exactly what happened. But they do know there was an explosion unlike any other. In the explosion, Melinda was thrown to the side of her chamber. When she awoke, m̶̩͙̩͊̃̿͝è̸͕͖̬̈́m̷̘͛͝o̷̩̦͕͇̔ṟ̴̽́̉͝y̵̝̻̆̈́͜ ̴̨̤̣̲̌c̷̯͑̽̀͐ö̸͇͚̩́̀̅̅r̷̡͆̿̆r̶̛̖̮̣̈́̈́̏u̴̖̥̹̾̈́̍͐p̸̪͕̞̎̿̇t̵̻̳͗. What she saw brok her. Melinda’s mind was shattered. Split in two. While the clean up crew worked, Melinda was huddled in a corner, entirely nude, giggling and talking to herself. Anyone who tried to touch her felt an intense burning as their suits would start to corrode away. The only one who was able to touch her, was the scientist, who oddly decided to comfort the young girl. This proved to be a decision that caused Mel to latch onto this scientist.
Months later, and the upper echelons were furious about the results of the experiment. It came out that they’d been kept in the dark about the accelerated pace that the scientist had initiated, that the government had had no real authority over them, and why she was able to proceed at her own pace. Had it been any other person, they would have been tried for war crimes including and not limited to human experimentation, murder, cruel and unjust punishment, and dozens of other crimes that should have landed her a lifelong sentence. However, for reasons unbeknownst to Mel, the scientist who worked on Mel was absolved of her crimes, legally at least, and allowed to remain in her high position. However, Mel, the only survivor of the experiments, was to be dealt with.
The upper echelon all but ordered her execution. Seeing her as nothing but a product of their hubris. However, two spoke out for Mel. That she could be put to use. Her mind may be broken, but her body was still strong. Thus, in the early months of 2018, Mel was transferred to serve under Svara, and given the rare chance to serve in any posting of her choice. Mel had grown close to the scientist in the last couple of months, so the girl chose to be posted with them. This posting was agreed upon, and Melinda has been in Japan ever since.
Becoming an Assassin: In the two years since the accident, Melinda has taken a relatively ordinary life on the outside. However, the truth of the matter was that she had become one of the government’s secret assassin’s. She had been granted the codename of Serpent, and answered to someone with the codename Apollo. Melinda secretly hated this arrangement,a s she knew it was just a play on her own name, however, she had no idea who Apollo actually was, or what they even looked like. For two years, she’s been reluctantly following the rules of Apollo and the government, but in those two years, she had not progressed far. She was still the bottom rung of a long ladder.

Object of Affinity: The “object” used to activate Melinda’s Fullbring is an odd one. It is her own bodily fluids, be it her saliva, her blood, her mucus, or any other naturally occurring fluids produced by her body.
Fullbring Appearance: Upon the release of Korroziya Zhizni, Melinda appears entirely unchanged. At a cursory glance, she would be. However, if one were to be able to touch Melinda, they’d notice that she is extremely...slimy. Her body is now constantly secreting a clear, slime-like substance.
Fullbring Ability: The slime that is produced by Melinda is able to corrode any naturally occurring substance in existence by altering its chemical makeup to imitate all known acidic compounds.
