The Physical =========================

Akimoto Tetsuya sports all of the notable features of the Akimoto line. His long indigo hair is loosely tied into a ponytail and his sharp blue eyes are always wandering. His hair is the only loose thing about him, though. Groomed by years of tutors and strict parentage, the man’s face rests in a stoic, thoughtful look and his posture is straight and proper. The standard shinigami uniform is accented by a beautiful light blue robe when he’s not on duty. Trained over the years by specialized teachers, Aikoto Tetsuya’s intangible spiritual energy is light and controlled, only the soft scent of sage hints at his presence.

The Mental =========================

Akimoto Tetsuya has experienced little outside of the tall walls of the Akimoto Estates. They feel relaxed from their life without worry. Food was always on their table; they always slept with a roof over their head; and their clothes were never worn or ragged. This noble, sheltered lifestyle does contribute to Tetsuya’s naiveté and pretentious attitude to those he believes are lesser or undeserving. To that end, Tetsuya also comes off as prudish or puritan. Maybe this is due to his sheltered childhood, or maybe he believes that those matters are better left to private places.

Despite this, much of his time in the Akimoto Estates was spent in study. From this he’s developed a long candle wick of patience and a slow burning flame of contemplation. Together, they lend the noble a stoic outlook. Many nights he would read a single page from an ancient shinigami text and reflect on it for days after. Unfortunately, he only had the old, dogged and decrepit tutors that his parents hired for him to socialize with and that's left him lacking in certain areas.

The Historic =========================

> 1874 - Born into the Akimoto House as a pure soul.
> 1893 - Began private tutelage in the ancient shinigami practices.
> 1932 - Finally allowed to join the Academy.
> 1935 - “Graduates” early after an incident with a fellow student.
> 1940s onward - Continues tutelage under strict supervision.
> 2014 - Tetsuya’s father is made Head of the Akimoto House.
> 2020 - Inherits the title of Head of the Akimoto House.

It could be said that Akimoto Tetsuya has barely lived a life at all. Born to overprotective parents of the Akimoto House, the young soul spent much of their youth being told what not to do. Instead of playing, the boy spent his time indoors learning of histories, maths, and, eventually, the beginnings of the shinigami practices. It was only with much begging that Tetsuya was allowed to enroll in the Academy.

Even so, his time in the Academy was cut short when he and a fellow student caused a Kido accident on the practice field. They both left with minor wounds, but his parents were overzealous as always and the Head of the Akimoto House couldn’t stand for their name to be mixed with any incident that involved “errant Kido” with the House being one of the foremost experts on the shinigami spiritual art. Akimoto Tetsuya was allowed to graduate with honors ahead of the rest of his class.

After that, Tetsuya spent nearly the next one hundred years roaming the estates of the Akimoto House, not allowed to even think of leaving the property. He may have snuck off once or twice during the intervening decades, but much of his time was spent in study. Now, it seems he has full reign to go as he pleases. Not under the circumstances he might have chosen, though. Without much warning, his parents succumb to a mysterious bout of food poisoning at a recent gathering of nobles. Many nobles died and this left Tetsuya the Head of the Akimoto House.

The Spiritual =========================

The sheltered Tetsuya barely imprinted upon his asauchi while at the Academy before the blade was yanked out of his grasp by his parents until he was deemed 'ready'. The weapon is as foreign to him as the outside world. Not only that, but the familial blade is now also his burden to bear.
