Clothing and Accessories: While Raphael tends to vary his clothing, he most often wears a solid colored t-shirt and jeans along with sturdy boots and a black jacket. Whenever Raphael goes to work he dresses in more professional khakis and button up dress shirts. If he is ever in exceptionally formal situations he wears a full suit with white shirt, tie, black pants and black shoes.
Generalized Appearance: Standing at five foot ten, and a mesomorphic body type, Raph is not what people would normally think of as imposing. This coupled with his rather average, caucasian appearance assists in his blending in to many crowds with little difficulty. He most often uses this to his advantage so that people don’t notice him, or so that he can slip away easily.
Spiritual Pressure Analysis: Raphael’s spiritual pressure is like a flame, burning brightly in darkness, calm, warm and inviting. Whenever Raphael is concerned or panicked, though, it becomes like a firestorm, erupting into life about him and lashing out at anything around it.

Overall Personality: Raphael is a man that most often professes to be a normal guy that “might” be able to see spirits, though he’d never tell spirits that. He maintains a calm persona at most all times, though if pushed to extremes, whether anger, sadness or breakdown, this can collapse and he will spend a fair bit of time wraapped up in whatever emotion it was that has made his psyche feel vulnerable. Despite these occasional outbursts, he’s a very loyal friend once his loyalty is received and will often drop what he’s doing to help out a friend in need. He is also an overly cautious person, making sure that he has a backup plan for a backup’s plan, not to mention a creature of habit, rarely deviating from his normal course.

Positive Traits: Calm- Raphael is an individual that does his best to maintain his calm in any and all situations and, while this isn’t healthy by any means as it involves repressing emotion, it has helped him keep his job on several occasions.
Honest- To a fault, unfortunately, Raphael is honest and doesn’t lie to friends or his coworkers/bosses.
Ambitious- Like many people, he works hard and is driven to succeed, though oddly this isn’t done to the point of wanting to upstage people or even acquire monetary wealth so much as it is that he views every job he goes into as a challenge that he wishes to overcome.
Loyal- Though he doesn’t isn’t a part of anything, other than his group of friends, Raphael is extremely loyal, believing in his friends, without fail.
Courage- His ability to remain calm in tense situations doesn’t keep him from being afraid and yet he acts in spite of this fear in basically every situation, from battles against masked monsters to speaking up for unfair treatment.
Negative Traits: Cynical- For all the good in people, Raphael finds it easier to see the worst in people than to try and see the good. To him, everyone’s bad outweighs the good.
Blunt- Honesty is not always the best policy, when not thinking Raphael has a bad habit of not holding back when he sees something wrong with someone.
Frivolous- Raphael is oftentimes very cheap, electing to get cheap junkfood, like noodle cups or other inexpensive foods as opposed to food that’s necessarily good for him.
Neurotic- Unfortunately Raphael does suffer from a fair bit of neurosis, most often this results itself in paranoia, but he also occasionally suffers from minor bouts of depression.
Flippant- He doesn’t do all that well with serious situations and, when confronted with them, will often respond with inappropriate, often dark, humor.
Loyalties: Raphael’s only true loyalties, currently, lie with his friends: Mike, Donny and Leo.
Goals: Learn more about the odd powers that he’s seen himself developing and learn more about the spiritual world that has opened up to him.

Habits: Raphael greatly enjoys reading, and will often read long hours into the night, without realizing what time it is.
Oftentimes he will go into downtown Tokyo, get a bite to eat and just people watch for an hour or two while ignoring anyone that comes up to talk to him.
Every now and then, especially when thinking, he will scratch his chin with only his index finger.

Overarching HistoryRaphael was born the second of a family of oddities. His mother was a spiritual researcher and quincy to boot, his father, on the other hand, was a mundane human without any powers, his brother and he were both expected to become quincy and carry on the name. Yet as they grew older it quickly became apparent that, while Brian had quincy powers, Raphael did not and, as such, he was quickly viewed a bit less than his brother due to this.

Raphael, however, didn’t let this get him down and instead devoted his time and energy to computers and his schoolwork. Over time, this paid off. He excelled scholastically and managed to make himself quite well liked within his school. It was during this time that he experimented with computers, taking apart his first computer at ten, and putting it back together by the time he was fourteen. As high school began he begun delving into coding and designing different programs, though his first one was a basic clock, he still had a lot of fun with it. He loved it so much, in fact, that when it came time for college, he decided to major in computer science and once it was done he began working for a large tech company.

Through it all, though, he’d begun seeing ghosts; spirits with masks that looked like monsters and those in large robes with katana. Samurai ghosts and masked monsters, both of which caused issues with the world around them. The monsters devoured the souls of humans and the samurai would destroy them, trying to save the souls of the humans. Dogmatic as it sounded, that was effectively the gist, but still these samurai ghosts…where they come from and return to? It was due to this, and other incidents, that he created the “Ghastly Blog” to bring realization to the forefront. Unfortunately most are dismayed when they find out it isn’t about a pokemon.

Yet the company, decided to expand to overseas markets and, being one of the largest tech areas, Japan was chosen as the pilot country. Raphael was assigned to their Tokyo headquarters and, in order to get away from the hectic city life, decided to seek lodging far outside of the city. Thus it was that Raphael wound up living in Karakura Town, Japan. Day in and day out he does his job dutifully, trying to ignore the odd goings on around him, but how long can such a thing last?
Roleplaying Sample
It was a good day in paradise. Work had ended early, the sun was shining and his favorite convenience store had his favorite cup ramen in stock. It was like the world was only lookin’ up for ol’ Raph. The subway wasn’t even that packed and he couldn’t help but smile broadly as he got onto it. What else could possibly go so well?

The subway finally pulled into a stop at his station and he got off, heading up and looking out at the world around him. Karakura Town. It was so odd to call it a “town” as it was as big as some capitals in the US, at least of the smaller states. The thought made Raphael chuckle a bit as he made his way towards his apartment.

He was briefly knocked over by a bit of a crash and as he looked up, he could see one of the masked monsters on the attack and yet, predictably, was one of the samurai ghosts. Taking a drink from a soda that he’d purchased at the convenience store, and leaned back against the wall, watching. A slice from the samurai here, a smacking claw from the mask there, and then with a single jumping slice, the masked monster disappeared in smoke. As the samurai breathed and looked around, she looked straight at him and he simply looked around, as if focusing on something in the sky. Before long she’d taken off and he simply headed on home, glad that he’d evaded either detection or interest, for the time being. Heading home, he decided that he would have to be more careful, especially if he had to deal with those damn pajama wearing samurai. [/color]

Power Capability[size]Though a catch-all term for strength that comes from the mind, Raphael’s psionic powers manifest in several ways: he can move objects with his mind, unleash blasts of kinetic force or minimal psychometry. All of these have fairly substantial limitations. With casual telekinesis, he can only move objects up to the size of an SUV, and his psychometry is fairly weak only able to sense echoes left on the item up to a week ago.
